The Home Energy Savings Program changed over time but the basics of QA remained the same: Continually find ways to improve the program by observing the work completed that received rebates and make recommendations to the Efficiency Maine Trust. My background has been in construction since I was 18 years old. “I started working here this summer and from the day I walked in I felt like part of the Royal River Heat Pumps family. The people here welcomed me with open arms and I feel like I’ve known them for years even though it’s only been a couple months. My coworkers are outgoing, driven, and successful in everything they do. I listen to them communicating with each other and with customers all day and even when there’s a problem they handle the situation respectfully and expertly so that it is smoothly resolved. The office culture is so fun! We eat lunches together and talk with one another throughout the day; life here is NOT boring!

The owner is kind and fair and involves himself in the company so much, you’ll see him in every department of his business at some point each day. We talk with him every day which I really appreciate because other bosses I’ve had never come in and work with their company, but stay unseen and order people around which is not what the owner does here.

I get the opportunity to work in the office and out in the field and the installers out in the field have also welcomed me into their crews just like the office. They engage with me and have taught me a lot about installing heat pumps, which I really appreciate! I have observed them also being extremely professional and having a ton of knowledge about the product and the process of installing so that when a homeowner has questions, they never miss a beat when answering them.
